Oregon

After Burning Man, we took the RV north to tour Oregon. We first took the less-driven northern route from Gerlach, into Alturas and on to Klamath Falls. We then went up the eastern side of the Cascades. We had done this before, at least part of it, in our 1998 trip, so this time we didn't go to Crater Lake even though it is well worth a visit.

Our route took us again on the Cascade Lakes scenic highway, through the scenic route west of Sisters, then up to camp on the side of Mt. Hood. From there we drove the Columbia River Gorge, headed through Portland and started our southward trek of the Oregon Coast at Astoria. We drove highway 101 all the way, back down into California and home. Rushed as usual, even though I had cut the distance on this trip -- there is so much to see.

Of course, be sure to visit the Panorama Page for my best photography of Oregon.

Shots are on Superia 100 unless otherwise noted.
