Mutant Vehicles (usually called art cars) crowd the playa. So many that they are now turning away any that still retain any of the original vehicle. My own car has had to improve to return to the playa.

The wait at the DMV is often long. This year due to a storm it was even longer. That gives a great opportunity to photograph the waiting cars.
