The Gorge has great scenery, but it was a bit hazy. Nonetheless the
long series of waterfalls and views can be enjoyed. We had made an
appointment in Portland for the late afternoon so we didn't get to
tarry too long here, but it will be worth returning to on a clear day.
I practiced time exposures of waterfalls.
Later we came into Portland. Big cities are not places to visit in an
RV. We had to make the pilgrimage to Powell's Books, which was indeed
a very fine bookstore, but not a place to park when driving an RV.
After the bookstore, we zoomed back out of town to find a campsite on the
way to Astoria.

Traveling down the gorge, several places had local Native fishermen who would sell their day's catch. Fresh salmon for $2/pound -- with the smallest at 5 pounds we had to freeze most of it, but it was good eating at camp that night.
