Real life cowboys get ready to move a herd in front of the mutli-coloured hills of the Temblor range in Carrizo Plain National Monument during the super flower bloom of 2017. The hills are an amazing array of yellow, gold, blue/purple and red/orange flowers, plus the rare green of wet-winter grasses.

Mount Shasta and Black Butte, from the road up to Castle Lake, July 4, 1999. Taken with Pentax P&S, so some problems with vignetting. Shasta usually has more snow. This was a lighter year.

A high-res panorama of Soda Lake and the Temblor hills behind it speckled with beds of flowers. At sunset, the haze diminishes the blues and reds but you can see the extent of the flower coverage.

The Mt. Shasta July 4 fun-run crosses I-5. It's not really easy to shoot a pano with a crowd of moving people so this one is full of blend errors, but it is interesting.
