I've written extensively elsewhere about Burning Man. Here are my panoramas from the 2003 Black Rock City
These are just the panoramas. Be sure to check out my regular sized photos of:
Of course don't forget the other panorama years noted above.
I even have a stab at the never ending What is Burning Man? question.
In 2003 I got to borrow the amazing 11 megapixel Canon 1Ds (thanks to Sergey and Larry at Google) to take my largest panorama ever. The resulting 220 megapixel image has to be seen printed to be appreciated. The one here is a tiny fraction of it. I will show a version at the Playa next year and at decompression.

This is a scale down from the giant shot, really 53,000 pixels by 4,000. Taken from Embassy Camp tower at 7 o'clock/Literal and Esplanade a bit before sunset on Saturday, just before the burn. The ends are close to the sun, which is in the picture, which is why they look darker and hazier.
Things to note in this shot include the Man, art cars, some people taking a group photo in front of the spiderweb, dinnertime in many camps, Thunderdome, center camp and much more. The big box is a repeater for the wireless internet connection, which was provided from our camp.
This was taken with a 70mm lens for the astounding resolution.
New: here's a flash-hosted version of the image you can zoom into from gigapan.
